Our school library is accessible to all students and staff, with welcoming spaces led by a certified school librarian who provides relevant instruction, leadership, and resources to develop students' skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Library Support

Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.

We provide the following services to support learning: 

  • Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools. 
  • Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests. 
  • Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.
MHS Media Center

Expectations:
Students are expected to respect others, their surroundings, and themselves.  Students are expected to remain quiet and seated while in the space.

Lunch:
Students may come to the Media Center during their lunch period for a quiet lunch experience. Other options for lunch include a generous outdoor space for those students who like to move around.

After School:
Students may visit the Media Center  Monday through Thursday after school until 3:30. The Media Center closes at 2:30 on Fridays. All Media Center expectations apply.
